It helps to have someone further along in the process to give you some insight into what to expect, questions to ask, and how to carve time for your own self care so you can maintain your cool under pressure (at home, school, work, or during the most recent outburst).

- vent to a non-judgmental listener who's been there (that's me)
- reframe your situation in terms of what's working (even if it feels like nothing is working)
- see a map of where you are and where you're going
- shift into a place where you can see possibilities instead of negatives
I know the hardest part of navigating the unknown world of gifted and 2e resources was not having someone who really understood what I was going through. You likely feel like you're on a roller coaster, unsure of yourself and your parenting.
